Placed a bid and second-guessing it? Here's what to know.
Why bids can't be removed
Adding something to a shopping cart doesn't affect anyone else. Placing a bid does. It sets the price other bidders compete against, so pulling bids would break the auction for everyone.
What if I bid by mistake?
Mistakes happen, but don't count on an accidental bid being removed. Before you bid, check the item and the amount. If you're setting a max bid, enter only what you're comfortable paying.
What if I change my mind?
Buyer's remorse isn't a reason to remove a bid. If you win, you're still responsible for paying and picking up. The best fix is to set your limit before the bidding gets exciting.
What if someone outbids me?
Then you're no longer the high bidder unless you bid again. You don't have to win every item. If the price passes what it's worth to you, let it go. There's always another deal.
What if I win and don't pay?
Unpaid invoices can lead to fees and a hold on your bidding. See Unpaid invoices, missed pickups and account holds.
